Penncrest High School Jazz Band

The Jazz Band is the premiere ensemble in the Penncrest Jazz Program, which features two big bands and a combo.
Auditions for the program are held in the fall and are open to all Penncrest students. Rehearsals mercifully begin after the conclusion of the marching season. The Jazz Band rehearses once a week as an ensemble, with each section adding an additional student-run sectional once per week.
The objective of the program is to develop style, improvisation, and independent playing through the study of America’s Unique Art Form. Penncrest is excited to perform once again at Jazz Night and would like to thank Mr. Thameen, our clinician/performers, and all the volunteers and students for providing us with a great experience.
