CPFA Jazz Mavericks is the advanced jazz combo at PA Leadership Charter School’s innovative Center for Performing and Fine Arts in West Chester, PA. The band placed 3rd in the nation at the 2022 National Jazz Festival and last year received Superior With Honors ratings and Best Soloist medals for every member of the ensemble at Cavalcade Jazz Festivals. The band also performed at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem in 2018. Band alumni frequently receive scholarships to university music programs across the country and become professional musicians. Last year, the band will serve as a clinician and featured performer at the PMEA Annual In-Service Conference.
