Mr. Hearn is the Percussion Coordinator for the Roaring Lions Marching Band and Penncrest Indoor Ensemble. Now in his ninth year with the program, he oversees all aspects of the percussion section.

Mr. Hearn is a 2015 graduate of Penncrest High School, where he was a member and section leader in the front ensemble. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Grades Preparation from West Chester University in 2020 and recently completed his Master’s Degree in Educational Technology at Slippery Rock University. While at West Chester University he was a member of the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band, where he served as section leader and electronics coordinator. 

Outside of the marching band world, Mr. Hearn works full-time as a fourth-grade teacher at Rose Tree Elementary School. He enjoys working with younger learners during the day and supporting high school musicians in the evenings and on weekends.

`In addition to his work at Penncrest, Mr. Hearn has arranged and instructed for several other programs, including West Chester East High School, Downingtown East High School, and Chichester Middle School.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, listening to music, and visiting the beach.
